About the course

The Philidor Defense which is named after the former chess player François Andre Danican Philidor, is a good defensive strategy against the the king's knight opening. The modern form of the Philidor Defence is characterized by the following move order: 1.e4 d6 2.d4 Nf6 3.Nc3 e5. In this course you will get familiar with the basic plans and ideas of this opening so that you can apply it in your own games.
