About the course
The Queen's Indian Defense (QID) is a solid defense against the Queen's Pawn game where White naturally starts with 1.d4. This opening guarantees good prospects for black, where black temporarily gives up the central control but achieves the control of the key squares by activating the long diagonals for an attack against white. The basic move order of the QID is 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 b6 and from there several interesting variations arise which will be discussed in this unit. As the QID is a good answer against 1.d4 it should be part of everyone's repertoire.
