About the course
The Italian Game is one of the oldest chess openings and it is characterized by the following opening moves: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4. Both sides are developing their pieces quickly and white's last move 3.Bc3 is aiming to attack black's vulnerable f7-square. After 3.Bc4, black has several options to respond and depending on the continuation, the game can have different styles. In this course we will analyze the most common variations after 3.Bc4.
